Casino apps that pay. The king of all poker hands is the royal flush. With a royal flush, it’s essentially a very specific straight flush. For starters, all your five cards must be the same suit. On top of that, it must be the 10, J, Q, K, and A of a particular suit to complete the royal flush. Poker Hand Odds for Five-Card Games. Royal Flush Odds In Video Poker. Royal Flush is, hands down, the most sought-after hand in video poker. It consists of five highest-paying cards, from 10 to Ace. A lucrative hand like that is a dream of any gambler. The sad thing is that a Royal Flush is a very rare hand.
I play craps in Upstate NY. Just started playing video poker when many of the Native American Casinos reopened, a few months ago, while waiting for a craps table to open. Generally, if the # of tables weren't decreased the # of people (6) allowed to play at a table decreased. So I had to do something to stay busy. Taking WoV recommendation I went to video Poker because of house edge. I studied the basic strategy and knew enough to be dangerous.
Anyhow, yesterday I got my first straight flush (250-1) and then went back today, to the same machine, and drew an A H for a Royal Flush (4000-1). Cashed out $1040. You could only bet a quarter so max bet was $1.25.
I was pretty surprised. I've won more shooting craps but drawing that Royal Flush really felt great!!! And at the same machine one day after another. I believe the odds are 650,000 to 1 for the Royal flush and 72,000 to 1 for the straight flush.
I don't know if it was an RNG or VLT machine. No one seems to know what type they are in NA casinos in New York. State regulated are VLT's.
Anyone know what machines NA casino's in NY use? Can I plan on a couple more Royal Flushes before Christmas? How rare are they?
Thank you.

See full list on casinoreports.ca. Usually, a video poker player will end up wining money in a four-hour session when he or she gets either a royal flush, straight flush, or more than six four-of-a-kinds. Losing sessions usually occur when you get more than 1,311“no win” hands.

I assume you mean it paid out 250 for the straight flush and 4000 for the Royal - that's 50-1 and 800-1 (to be pedantic, 50 'for' 1 and 800 'for' 1, or 49-1 and 799-1), respectively.
The odds of being dealt a Royal are 649,739-1, and of being dealt

a straight flush are 72,192-1.Let me break out my VP simulator..
A 'Royal or Nothing' strategy hits a Royal once in every 23,500 or so hands. Playing basic strategy, it's more like once every 40,000 hands.
Still, that's more Royals than I have ever hit.

A way to tell if it is a VLT or real machine is to throw away a winning hand. A VLT will replace it or improve on it.

If there was no W-2G for a $1,000 win, it wasn't a VLT.
I was looking at one machine, it paid 8/5 at 25 cents, and 9/5 at the $1 denom.
I'd play some video blackjack but the BJ machines I saw at Turning Stone were absolutely miserable.

I believe most video poker in New York Native American casinos is traditional Class 3. Class 3 is fair and what is used in Las Vegas and most regulated jurisdictions. I believe only the state lottery casinos use the VLT's. Most of those have a match card or genie that can change the win.

My old stomping grounds of Turning Stone, Yellow Brick Road, and Point Place are all Class 3. And they absolutely do not like pictures being taken. The most recent ones I took of jackpots there I had to resort to low angle and sometimes blurry ones as I didn't want to risk getting kicked out.

My smartphone lost its charge in the casino parking lot when it was brutally cold outside, so I had to charge the phone from the cig lighter on the way home & play my tunes.

A friend of mine tried to leave early before sunrise when it was 10 below zero once. Car wouldn't start. Had to wait for it to get above zero before it would start.
Good ole upstate New York. I don't miss ya.

I loved winter until I lived in the Rochester area for a couple of them.
I still love the upstate area, but from Easter to Halloween, maybe Thanksgiving.
My Sister had the right idea. Summer in the Finger Lakes, winter in Palm Beach.
